Zanette & Lyda: Jacobsbaai, West Coast

When Zanette contacted me to chat about her upcoming wedding with Lyda I got the impression that this woman knows what she wants in life, has such a clear idea of where she is heading in life that it was suck a "ahhhh i know you" type of feeling to meet up with her and beautiful Lyda at Langebaan's local coffee shop. Neither one of them believed in "the one" or god forbid "whirlwind romance" but walked into a wall when after "sort of" knowing each other bumped into fate.. and met their partner for life.

Their wedding was held in Jacobsbaai, for those in the not-know, its a little gem close to Saldanha, hidden away. The guesthouse, and venue of the service and celebration, is built one or two steps away from breaking waves. It was a delightful day, with tears, laughter and some new fabulous traditions. Buckets filled with various items, cant remember all - rice, chillies, sweeties, all symbolising different qualities one should have in marriage, and guests chose one or a combination of these as the "confetti" to shower Zanette and Lyda with. Each person throwing their blessing and wish for the marriage - while Zanette and Lyda was in the middle of this big crowd, just holding one another.
